Gemstone disclosures
The disclosures on each individual gemstone page and the corresponding written quotation control. Gemstones may be natural, laboratory-grown, synthetic, imitation or composite. Treatments may include heating, oiling, irradiation, diffusion, filling, coating, dyeing, impregnation and other processes. RG Gemstones does not assume that a stone is untreated; treatment status is entered for each genuine sale stone.
Appearance and measurement
Photographs aim to represent the actual offered gemstone accurately, but screen settings and lighting can affect displayed color. This does not excuse an inaccurate description. Carat is a unit of weight, not physical size. Dimensions in millimeters are provided where available.
Care
Durability and care vary by species, inclusions, condition and treatment. Heat, chemicals, ultrasonic or steam cleaning and sudden temperature changes may be unsuitable for some stones. Review the stone-specific treatment and special-care information before purchase and ask RG Gemstones when uncertain.
Laboratory reports and origin
Laboratory reports are professional opinions based on the information and methods available to the issuing laboratory; they do not guarantee value. Geographic origin is displayed only when manually entered and supported and should be read with the stated source and confidence.
